Breathe Again NASA
Discovery Lands Safely in California
After two weeks of breathless anticipation, our astronauts finally made it home to Edwards Air Force Base at 5:11 AM PDT (8:11 AM EDT). Apparently they did some good rocket surgery. So that’s all great news. Here’s what I don’t understand:
NASA officials said a space shuttle will not fly again until the foam problem is solved and engineers understand why the two so-called gap fillers came loose.
What? We’re still not going to ditch the antiques and build some new technology? AAAAAAARGH! Let’s move into the 21st century already. I’m glad they made it back OK, but when are we going to stop fiddling around with peoples lives, and get on with technological advancement?
