Links Chain

I’m finally going to get back on track with linking to other people’s blog posts. Hopefully you already know to take the heading for a post with a grain of salt. It’s often part of the joke. If not, now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Customer Service → The Frogster offers a toast to North American Van Lines.

Fashion → Strap in, shut up and hold on. We’re going back. Johnny Virgil takes us back in time to a place where disco reigned, and polyester was uglier than ever.

Monkey Domination → It Has Begun! The Planet of the Apes will be a reality all too soon. Never fight monkey infestations with bigger monkeys. Also check out what Scott Adams has to say about the Monkey Attack.

Blog Domination → Chris C offers tips on Blog Promotion for You. This reminds me a lot of my own 12 Simple Rules Guaranteed to Improve Your Blogging. I especially like the advice on posting schedules.
Conversely, Ruchir says Your Posting Schedule Could be Hurting You!

Preserving History → Dick Masterson creates The 2010 Man Capsule. It’s got everything, by which I mean Bacon!®

Hot Chicks with Douchebags → DB1 reveals this month’s “winner” of the HCwDB of the Month: The ‘Bag Islander. Since he doesn’t link back to the context posts, click to see the contestants.

Page Rank → Maki rants Google PageRank Doesn’t Matter. Can We Stop Talking about it Now?

That’s it for this week’s episode. Have a nice weekend!

Links Chain

I hope you already know that most of the links here are funny, but sometimes I slip in something helpful. If you didn’t know that – now you do. Sometimes the header is part of the joke, sometimes it’s not. You just need to follow the link to find out.

Trolls →Diesel writes about Ugly people, and then attracts a troll. Get help, Karen. Get help.

Home Decor → Johnny Virgil tells us about some of his Wife’s odd decorations.

Emergency Safety → Safenow.Org informs us what to do in an emergency. I know this is old, so if that makes me lame that I just discovered it, then so be it. I’m lame. Keep scrolling down the page. Some of the best ones are near the bottom.

Writing → Coppy blogger issues a Warning: Use These 5 Surefire Headline Formulas at Your Own Risk.

Hateful People →Laurie has a witty rant – Now That’s What I Call Holding a Grudge
.
Law Enforcement →Wyatt Earp tell us how Grandma Got Run Over By A Suspect.

Award Winners → DB1 highlights the HCwDB of the Month: The Crustacean. Hilarious, but possibly NSFW.

Employment → Susan M. Heathfield offers the Top 10 Ways to Be Happy at Work

Have a nice weekend and be sure to check out the first offering from our newest contributor, Chris Cameron. Is the World Ending?

Links Chain

How can it be link time again already. Wasn’t that just 2 posts ago? That’s what happens when you suffer from the opposite of writers block. Hopefully working on 5 different things at once will pay off next week though.

Let’s roll!

Parental Technology → Penguin Pete tells about When “RTFM” becomes “Oh, Just Forget It!” (RTFM means “Read the F^^king Manual,” for those who don’t know. It’s an intentionally hostile response to people who ask questions about how to do things).

Bacon!® → Wyatt Earp demonstrates the Terrorist annihilating power of Bacon!®.

Blegging → Ben Cook takes aim at the “Buy me a Beer” plugin. Buy Me a Beer is Internet Panhandling.

Behavioral Psychology → Chris C explains that People Do Weird Things.

Self-Help → Life Sucks, Then You Die, according to Steve Pavlina. Find out if he means it.

Cosmetics → Johnny Virgil thinks Hazel is Nuts, and I have to agree with his assessment.

War → Harvey explains why we’re in Iraq – Very bluntly.

Television → Tyra Banks to Host America’s Next Top Global Warming Model, according to Point Five.

Next week should have more than one original content post. Until then, check these links out. I’m on vacation this weekend. WooHoo! 4 day weekend! So, I don’t know how often I’ll be checking in. In fact, by the time this is posted, I’ve already left.

If you’ve read anything hilarious or helpful, drop the link in the comments, or email it to me.

Have a nice weekend! :)
