<p><strong>The Obama Morality</strong></p>
<p>In a recent speech, somehow the President&#8217;s message to ALL Latinos was clearly understood, even though it wasn&#8217;t in Spanish. I watched a few seconds of this, Vote for me and I&#8217;ll ensure there will be more of <em>your kind</em> to vote for me in my third or seventh term.</p>
<p>Down along the Texas/ Mexican border -also known as the New and Improved, fence completed, why the Hell are the Republicans still complaining (it must be that Tea Party), now Safer and more Secure than ever before Border- Obama stated a pathway to citizenship was a moral imperative.</p>
<p>Hey, The Man Who Would Be King claims he made it that way, so let&#8217;s give him credit. I think Oborder has a nice ring to it.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not sure where morality comes in, but I do understand why he feels it&#8217;s an imperative. These law-abiding, honest, hard-working people -who only come here to toil under the harsh sun to do stoop labor and contribute to our society- are the same ones Democrats believe can be <em>given</em> citizenship, and then enslaved to the Welfare State. They&#8217;ll then have no choice but to vote for more and continuing stuff, so they can live the American Dream of making it in El Norte through the sweat of the brow. Huh?</p>
<p>Admittedly, Hispanic gangs -filled to bursting with undocumented workers- have proven they are much better at trafficking drugs and humans than their non-Latino counterparts. Still, I don&#8217;t think this is what was meant by jobs American&#8217;s won&#8217;t do -or at least, won&#8217;t do as well.</p>
<p><strong>The Dirty, Not So Little Secret</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Ominous They </strong>would have you believe that generations from now, this same race will still be doing the jobs American&#8217;s won&#8217;t do -long after their great-grandparents became U.S. citizens. This has to be the case, since we&#8217;re told we need them to do those types of jobs now. What would change in the future?</p>
<p>Hispanics must be viewed by the likes of Obama and his ilk, as a permanent under-class of cheap gardeners, maids, nannys, day laborers, and farm help. The Democrats gotta think it&#8217;s genetic.</p>
<p>A warning to anyone of Spanish or Portuguese  heritage, the Democrat Party sees <strong>Brown </strong>as the <strong>New Black</strong>. They&#8217;ll promise you any and everything for your vote, and give you almost nothing in return. They are <strong>The Man</strong>, and are going to keep you down.  Once the illegals are no more, you all look alike to them.</p>
<p>For those of you who came here illegally from other parts of the world remember this, the Democrats couldn&#8217;t care less about you, since you might make it on your own. They don&#8217;t see you as herd-bound and easily shepherded toward Socialism.</p>
<p>Maybe, just maybe,  I don&#8217;t fully understand what racism is, but then again &#8230;maybe I do.

<p><strong>Promises, promises<br />
</strong></p>
<p>Dammit, we were promised by Bush, the Iraq war would be paid back with oil revenues. My taxes went, and our military went, and spilled their blood. What did we get for all <em>our</em> money and <em>their</em> sacrifices?</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll tell you what we got. Thousands of dead and wounded members of our Armed Forces. These are some of the finest people you&#8217;ll ever meet. Or you could have, if a lot of them hadn&#8217;t died for all but worthless ends (which hasn&#8217;t even ended yet), while truckloads of our grandchildren&#8217;s  cash pour into endless holes of corruption and waste.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t think Cowboy Bush lied, but I do believe nation building is NOT a benefit to America. If it comes down to military action, do it on the cheap. Bomb the shit out of them, then fly away. The same country acts up again, nuke &#8216;em. You only have to do this once or twice and the rest of the world takes notice. It worked in Japan.</p>
<p>Where does our current Cowboy President stand on <em>his</em> promises? You know Obama, the guy who wets his head, slides it through his anal sphincter, to feel which way the wind blows. Not that I&#8217;m singling him out. This seems to be the favorite decision making technique of most of our elected reps.</p>
<p>Well, President Obama hasn&#8217;t pulled out of anything, to include Iraq or Gitmo.  He hasn&#8217;t taken our troops out of Afghanistan either. Instead he&#8217;s added tens of thousands more. Forget about the booming economy and hundreds of thousands of jobs he promised to create by now.</p>
<p>And another thing. Don&#8217;t tell me we can&#8217;t train an Afgan army in ten years. We can, but won&#8217;t. The U.S. military is very good at training troops. The problem is -as always- the <strong>dick-headed politicians</strong> sticking their craniums in where they have no business.</p>

<p><strong>Here we go again and again and&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>Now <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com">Barack, The Magic Negotiator</a> has given over U.S.  sovereignty to the U.N. We were told we didn&#8217;t dare unilaterally impose a no fly zone over Libya. But let the U.N. <strong>TELL US</strong> to go, and the idiots in Washington -on both sides of spectrum- are all over it. Except Obama never asked Congress, he went unilateral, like a dictator seeking to depose another dictator.</p>
<p>Meanwhile he&#8217;s vacationing in Brazil, who abstained from voting for the<a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/libya-no-fly-zone-for-oil/"> No Fly Zone.</a></p>
<p>So we&#8217;re bombing Libya. What the hell? How&#8217;s Obama going to pay for   this one? Borrow more money from China, who also abstained from voting for   this action? <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/blood-for-oil-is-a-ok-if-france-leads-the-way/">Knock over Gaddafi</a> and re-build another nation,  that won&#8217;t appreciate it or repay us in any way other than spitting in our  faces? Great policy.</p>
<p>Why the hell are we doing this again? Where are our national interests being threatened? Obama says it&#8217;s in our interest. I don&#8217;t see it.</p>
<p>Want peace and stability in the Middle East? Your not going to get it -ever. Let them fight it out, and then go in and deal with whomever is left. Keep our asses (and by that I mean politicians) out of their business. Too simplistic for you?</p>
<p><strong>On the Home Front</strong></p>
<p>I&#8217;m sick and tired of hearing the EPA dictate to the people who hired them, about what we can and cannot do with our own natural resources. You want to use F18s, drones, cruise missiles and stealth bombers to secure an energy supply? Start there.</p>
<p>Congress may finally get the message and begin doing what <em>we</em> ask and not what <em>they </em>want, after<em> that</em> Shock and Awe campaign.</p>
<p>Left to our own devices, we wouldn&#8217;t need the rest of the world&#8217;s oil supply, but right now we&#8217;re stuck with that dependency. Between all the  various reserves we have here, nuclear, hydro-electric and the Great  American Entrepreneurial Spirit and genus for inventiveness, we <em>could</em> be just fine.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t count the number of times over the past thirty five years or so I&#8217;ve heard the same tired, <strong>it&#8217;ll take eight to tens years to develop </strong>whatever energy source it was at the time. We&#8217;re way late to that party. Hopefully not too late.</p>
<p>But instead of taking positive action we get: Tax and Spend. Borrow and Spend. TARP over mistakes. One dollar denomination toilet paper. Bail-out, bail-out, bail-out&#8230; They&#8217;re Quantitatively Easing us into Zimbabwe.</p>
<p>Wake up! Gas and other prices are high because our currency&#8217;s value is so low! Without all of our government&#8217;s &#8220;help&#8221;, we&#8217;d still be paying around two bucks a gallon.</p>

<p><strong>Bottom Line</strong></p>
<p>Keep out of other people&#8217;s affairs and mind our own business. Get our own financial house in order before even beginning to hint at thinking about helping anybody else.  <strong>If private citizens want to contribute, great, but keep our government out of other folk&#8217;s lives -and ours too.<br />
</strong></p>
<p>Any of you who think we should be flying anything over Libya, or engaging in yet another ground conflict &#8211; because it the <em>right</em> and <em>moral</em> thing to do- without volunteering to be the first boots to tread Libyan soil, can<strong> go fuck yourselves.</strong></p>
<p>If we <em>have</em> to fight in the Middle East, at least let&#8217;s do it for our own <strong>true</strong> self interest. Do it for the oil. To the victor go the spoils.</p>
<p>You want to know just where I get off writing this? I&#8217;ll tell you. I&#8217;m  very politically and historically aware, I can read the trends. I know  of what I speak. I&#8217;m a taxpayer -a real one, not one of the 50% who  don&#8217;t actually pay taxes. I vote in every election, and one more thing,  I&#8217;m no Chickenhawk, I&#8217;m a proud, retired veteran of the United States Army.</p>

<p>The Nutbags on the Left love disasters. They&#8217;re the <a href="http://www.scientificamerican.com/blog/post.cfm?id=beware-the-fear-of-nuclearfear-2011-03-12">perfect opportunity</a> to advance their psychotic, anti-liberty agendas, and the <a href="http://dailycaller.com/2011/03/11/powerful-quake-tsunami-kills-hundreds-in-japan/">recent tragedy in Japan</a> is a perfect example of how the Sociopathic Left converges on any and all crises, even to the point of alienating their own base.</p>
<p>Danny Sullivan posted a <a href="http://twitpic.com/48uz4p">picture on twitpic</a> where Greenpeace glommed on to death and human tragedy in Fukushima to pander. Part of the text reads:<br />
<blockquote>The disaster unfolding in Japan is a terrible reminder of the dangers on nuclear power. Tell the President and your members of Congress that there is no place for taxpayer giveaways to the nuclear industry in this year&#8217;s budget.</p></blockquote>
<p>I want to really give credit to Mr. Sullivan here for replying to this poor timing and bad taste by an organization he supports <a href="http://twitter.com/dannysullivan/status/46657206464155648">by tweeting</a><br />
<blockquote>dear @greenpeace. could we bury the dead in japan before you email me to take action against nuclear power? </p></blockquote>
<p>I follow Danny because he gives good information on how to build a worthwhile brand and website, but our politics generally couldn&#8217;t be more opposite. I don&#8217;t know what else to say other than the fact that I agree wholeheartedly with his sentiment. </p>
<p>This is much more the time to use any ability you have to reach the public to band together and support the victims of tragedy. Not to attempt to score political points on the heels of an international catastrophe.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m baffled by the fact that anyone in their right mind would support the Unions in their standoff against <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/gov-scott-walker-strikes-back-against-wi-protestors/">Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker</a>. </p>
<p>I see the comments online, and I don&#8217;t get it. It&#8217;s hard to believe that every single comment I am seeing is left by some union thug that sees Gov. Walker&#8217;s tough stance as a threat to their own sheltered way of life, so there must be some people out there that are either really stupid, or have some other sort of agenda in supporting the unions.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m simply stunned. How can anyone support the union? Seriously. I&#8217;m not one for jealousy and class warfare, and I don&#8217;t tend to think that one person&#8217;s success HAS to be at the cost of stepping on the throat of another, but You union thugs have the closest thing to a free ride as it gets. </p>
<p>Let&#8217;s make one thing clear, <strong>YOU ARE NOT REGULAR WORKING AMERICANS!</strong></p>
<p>You have nothing at all whatsoever in common with the average employee. You know what I see? I see a bunch of <em>whiny, self-indulgent, self-absorbed, self-centered, thug, maggot punks</em> demanding entitlements that normal people don&#8217;t have, and throwing a tantrum when you aren&#8217;t able to bleed the average taxpayers more dry than they already are. That&#8217;s what you people are. You&#8217;re scum. You&#8217;re worthless bloodsucking leeches on society.</p>
<p>Look at you. <strong>DEMANDING</strong> not to provide an employee contribution to your health care&#8230; Like the rest of us do. You work fewer hours for more pay, bigger benefits, less employee contribution than the taxpayers that pay you&#8217;re sorry maggot asses. <em>Suck it</em>. You got the sweetest deal going, and it&#8217;s simply not good enough. You want blood from a stone, and more blood, and more blood, and more blood. Well <em>the taxpayers are bled dry</em>. </p>
<p><strong>You&#8217;re not entitled to a job</strong>. No one is. If you don&#8217;t like the deal you&#8217;re getting, get a different job. It&#8217;s not that hard. </p>
<p>But you won&#8217;t, will you. No. Of course not. Because you won&#8217;t find anywhere that will pay you twice as much to do nothing as the rest of us get paid to contribute something of value. You won&#8217;t find work out there that pays you for 30 years not to work there anymore. </p>
<p>Pensions. Give me a break. What kind of bullshit entitlement mentality is behind the fact that ANYONE in the public sector would get paid for a quarter of their life to not work anymore. The rest of us have two options. Save up, or work &#8217;til were dead. </p>
<p><strong>No one has sympathy for you punks</strong>. What goes around comes around, and <em>the come around it just beginning</em>. The rest of us don&#8217;t like you. We are not like you. One way or another the <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/the-world-is-coming-to-an-end-in-2012/">taxpayers will rid themselves of the leeches</a>. </p>
<p>Your best bet is to adapt, rather than die out.</p>

<p>Obama extends the Bush Tax Cuts for two years. Why? It was politically expedient. No other reason.</p>
<p>Being a political oracle, I predict President Obama will use this in the 2012 elections by proclaiming <em>his</em> Tax Cuts &#8220;saved or created millions of jobs&#8221;. But, no one in the MSM will ask how many millions of jobs George W. Bush &#8221; saved or created&#8221; for the ten years <em>his</em> Tax Cuts were in place.

<p>Just when you thought we couldn&#8217;t get any stupider, we get <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/joe-biden-gaffes-again/">way, much more stupider. </a></p>
<p>According to Reuiters &#8211; an unnamed U.S. official said the U.S. would be willing to have the IMF (International Monetary Fund) give more  money to support the European Financial Stability Facility.</p>
<p>Why is it always an &#8220;unnamed&#8221; official?</p>
<p>The U.S. is  the IMF&#8217;s biggest stakeholder, with 16.7% of the vote. How do you get that much pull? By being the biggest investor. Wait, investor? So, we can expect a profit, right?</p>
<p>Ah.. nah.</p>
<p>What this means is,  the U.S. will most likely be borrowing more money from China to give to the E.U., who will give it to the <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/robert-gibbs-on-gulf-oil-spill-times-square-bomber-and-pigs/">P.I.G.S.</a> (Portugal, Ireland, Greece &amp; Spain) as a security blanket. Because they&#8217;re too big to fail.</p>
<p>Think we can get the IMF to bailout New York and California? Aren&#8217;t they too big to fail too?</p>
<p>Ah&#8230; nah.</p>
<p><strong>Pelosi to Bailout Defeated Dems</strong></p>
<p>I predict Nancy Pelosi will slip a little something into the unemployment insurance extension bill that will pad the pockets of every Democrat politican, across the country, who is losing their job in January.

<p>Possible GOP candidates launched a listening tour in an attempt to &#8220;rebrand&#8221; the Republican Party. It&#8217;s about time we got with the program. Cool, hip, new brands are just what young people identify with. Just look at the success &#8220;<a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/democrats-humor-demtools-funny-pictures/">rebranding</a>&#8221; has enjoyed in the past.</p>
<p>There once was a fast food chain called &#8220;Burger King&#8221; that was getting it&#8217;s ass kicked by McDonalds all the time. They dropped all those extraneous letters and emerged as BK. The same thing happened with another fast food chain called Kentucky Fried Chicken. Apparently these companies decided that extra letters were the problem, not the shitty service and products at their restaurants.</p>
<p>Dropping extra letters has not been the only rebranding scheme that has had success. Sometimes products have had letters added, or different words altogether put in their names.</p>
<p>For instance, bat-shit crazy has been rebranded under several different names that have enjoyed some modicum of success. One such label for bat-shit crazy was &#8220;<a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/facts-on-global-warming-humor/">Global Warming</a>&#8220;. When people used to run around telling everyone that the world was going to end, they were just considered bat-shit crazy, and usually only achieved the level of standing on street corners holding cardboard signs while shouting at passers-by. When they decided that they needed a new name, they took on the moniker of &#8220;Global Warming&#8221; and lots of people bought into their apocalyptic visions of the oceans swallowing up whole countries. Indeed, some enterprising people have come up with ways to make millions by <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/al-gore-global-warming-book-our-choice/">capitalizing on bat-shit crazy</a>&#8216;s new found success.</p>
<p>It appears the &#8220;Global Warming&#8221; brand may have run it&#8217;s course. Bat-shit crazy people have now rebranded their special version of bat-shit crazy as &#8220;Climate Change&#8221; since it appears the prophecies of the <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/rl-political-humor-quick-hits-7/">bat-shit crazy community were wrong</a>. &#8220;Global Warming&#8221; or as it is now known &#8220;<a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/questions-about-global-warming-climate-change/">Climate Change</a>&#8221; is not the only version of bat-shit crazy to enjoy success.</p>
<p>There was once a time when people who believed the source of all human problems is an ancient alien race, they were considered bat-shit crazy, and relegated to standing on street corners holding cardboard signs while shouting at passers-by. At some point, a brilliant, but bat-shit crazy, marketer named L. Ron Hubbard decided to rebrand his version of bat-shit crazy as a religion called &#8220;Scientology.&#8221; He went from standing on street corners holding cardboard signs while shouting at passers-by to getting gazillions of dollars from vapid celebrities and plebes alike. His version of bat-shit crazy is still going strong today.</p>
<p>The success of rebranding is not exclusive to bat-shit crazy or fast food restaurants. Mass murder also enjoyed some success after being rebranded by a charismatic chap with a funny mustache. That chap, who by the way was also bat-shit crazy, was <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/bad-role-models-turned-good/">Adolf Hitler</a>. He decided that mass murder needed a new brand. He called it &#8220;The Final Solution&#8221;. Germans bought into it by the truck load. Once Hitler enacted this deft marketing strategy, he wiped out about a million Jews. That&#8217;s some serious brand power.</p>
<p>As you can see, rebranding is a powerful strategy that breeds success. You can&#8217;t argue with the results. Can we dupe a shitload of ignorant ovines? Yes, we can!</p>

<p>It has come to my attention that <strong>CNN</strong>, the Communist News Network, has <a href="http://patterico.com/2009/04/18/cnn-the-latest-corporate-thug-to-use-copyright-as-a-weapon-to-eliminate-embarrassing-clips-from-youtube/">issued a copyright infringement claim</a> against the <strong>Founding Bloggers</strong>, who posted a <a href="http://www.foundingbloggers.com/wordpress/2009/04/founding-bloggers-exclusive-our-footage-of-the-cnn-chicago-tea-party-throwdown/">video of <strong>Susan Roesgen</strong> badgering and arguing with Chicago Tax Tea Party Protesters</a>. Jim Treacher brought it to my attention.</p>

<p>The first part, you will recognize. The second part, you may not. You see Roesgen arguing with a woman that is confronting her for not interviewing the regular people attending the rally. Roesgen responds with bewilderment that attendees are not protesting Obama, or even the Democrats, but Republicans as well. </p>
<p>Now, beyond that, this has really touched a nerve, because <strong>I am against copyright</strong>. Period. I don&#8217;t see copyright as a valid law. Back in the days of printing presses, you had to own a medallion that indicated that you were approved by the Crown to own a printing press. This way, they could keep an eye on those who were allowed to own the means of distribution of information, and prevent the mass creation of subversive materials.</p>
<p><strong>Copyright was invented as a limitation on free speech</strong>. Today, we see an example of CNN using copyright for what? To limit free speech. Copyright is wrong. Plain and simple. I find the idea of &#8220;Intellectual Property&#8221; to be complete and utter bullshit. What is the premise of &#8220;Intellectual Property?&#8221; It&#8217;s that someone owns, not a physical item, not a physical plot of land, not a physical structure, but that they OWN an idea. How the fuck can you own an idea? </p>
<p>You can own a means of production of an idea. You can own a physical replicant of certain ideas, like books and dvds. You can own a means of distribution of an idea. But you cannot own the idea itself. But that is why copyright exists. It exists to say that MY means of production is the only legitimate one. MY means of distribution is the only legitimate one. MY physical replica is the only legitimate one? </p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>You may have bought into arguments that the producer of that <strong>&#8220;Intellectual Property&#8221;</strong> needs to earn a living, and that by &#8220;Stealing&#8221; their work, you are taking their income. Bullshit. Business is more than just products. It&#8217;s also marketing and distribution.</p>
<p>In order to have a successful and thriving business, you need to be good at all of these parts. You can make the best product in the world, but if no one knows about it, you will fail. You can make crap, with no real world value to anyone, but if it is marketed right, you get elected to public office. Isn&#8217;t that right, President Obama?</p>
<p>Another form of &#8220;Intellectual Property&#8221; is <strong>patents</strong>. Patents allegedly protect someone who invents something from having their idea &#8220;stolen&#8221; from someone else. What patents really do is stifle technological growth. They were an okay idea when we wanted to inspire people to take up and develop technology, and wanted to offer an incentive. We are now to a place where <strong>technology is no longer being advanced by patents</strong>, but is being hindered instead. </p>
<p>Imagine if the producers of technology were able to look at the designs of competing firms and say, &#8220;I know how to make that better.&#8221; Instead, we demand that they come up with their designs <em>in spite</em> of their competition. In fact, they better not come up with anything even close, because that is how patents work. Even if you were to accidentally create something similar to someone else, too bad. They&#8217;re &#8220;protected&#8221; from your design improvement. We demand that every technology company <strong>reinvent the wheel</strong> with each advancement, rather than competing in the marketplace.</p>
<p><strong>Who does intellectual property really protect?</strong> They protect the big, slow, backward, stupid, failed corporations that are too big, slow, backward, and stupid to compete in the marketplace. You know these businesses. They are the very same ones on the receiving end of the extortion payment that was being protested in Chicago. The very same bailout recipients that our Socialist government <strong>rewarded for their failure</strong>. They are protected by our Powermad politicians, using their laws, designed to control people, to reward the failure of businesses at our expense. </p>
<p>Then, when the wonder of the Internet allows the actual FREE and unfettered distribution of information, out comes this unjust law. Cease and desist! You&#8217;re embarrassing us, and this simply won&#8217;t do. To the degree that CNN&#8217;s footage has been used, <strong>It has already been aired!</strong></p>
<p>They already used it. They already got paid by advertisers who had spots during that segment. They have lost nothing, <strong>except the control of the audience</strong>.</p>
<p>And that is the real issue here. It&#8217;s control. If you control the distribution of information, you control the audience of that information. If you can keep them ignorant of subversive ideas, they may not think them on their own. Alternately, they may not realize how many others are thinking those things. They may not know how many are there with them. These things are dangerous to those who rule by fear. Those who rule by fear tend to do so because they rule IN fear. In fear of losing their grip on power. So they want to control who has access to what.</p>
<p>This site does not seek to limit it&#8217;s distribution. That is why we operate under a license that allows you to modify, adapt, or build upon, for commercial or non-commercial use. <strong>All we ask for in return is attribution</strong>. That is why we allow you to <a href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=RadioactiveLiberty">subscribe to email updates</a>, or your <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/RadioactiveLiberty">RSS aggregator</a>, and give you the FULL feed. It&#8217;s more important to be distributed than to control the means of distribution. You don&#8217;t even need to visit the site.  You can get your email update, and be done without missing a thing. </p>
<p>Someone who really understands the Internet would understand that <strong>traffic is actually a cost</strong>. If you&#8217;re not seeing that, it&#8217;s because you are not getting as much traffic as you are paying to allow for. Get a little more, and you will see that web traffic <strong>costs</strong> money. If you understand marketing, you know that it is good to be a ubiquitous brand. Demanding people visit the actual site is bad on both counts.</p>
<p>What is the most sold book ever? It&#8217;s the Bible. Who holds the copyright to it? No one. It is more important to distribute the ideas inside than it is to make a profit from it. Yet, every publisher is able to make a killing selling it. You can get it for free on the internet. Yet people continue to pay to own a copy, and it continues to be a best seller. No one is sitting there thinking, &#8220;Wait, what&#8217;s this book you&#8217;re talking about?&#8221; Everyone knows about it, because it&#8217;s not &#8220;protected&#8221; by a copyright, and publishers compete in the <strong>marketplace</strong> for sales.</p>
<p>About one third of visitors to this site use the <strong>Firefox</strong> web browser. Most of the rest use Internet Explorer, and the majority of them use it because it&#8217;s just there, on their computer when they buy it. They don&#8217;t think to change it, or don&#8217;t meet a convincing enough argument to change it. Maybe they are even afraid of their computer to such a degree that they fear changing their browser. But the point isn&#8217;t why people won&#8217;t use Firefox. It&#8217;s why do a full ONE THIRD of the market share use it?</p>
<p>Those one third will tell you it&#8217;s better. One feature they will point to is all the customizations that are available. The reason there is such a high availability of features is that <strong>Firefox is Open Source</strong>. This means anyone can make any copy or any improvement at any time for any reason. They just need to attribute the source code.</p>
<p>This should challenge you to ask a few questions, such as, <strong>how is Firefox even a business model if they don&#8217;t &#8220;protect&#8221; their &#8220;intellectual property?&#8221;</strong> Why aren&#8217;t there two gazillion thriving knockoffs? There may be two gazillion knockoffs, but they are not thriving. Why? Because they know how to compete on the finished product, it&#8217;s marketing, and it&#8217;s distribution. So far, they have won. In fact, they are so competitive, they have stolen one third of Microsoft&#8217;s market share. That&#8217;s one third of the market share of the <strong>biggest software company in the world</strong>. Could they have done this if they were &#8220;protecting&#8221; their &#8220;intellectual property?&#8221; I doubt it.</p>
<p>Firefox is winning because they have <strong>competed in the marketplace</strong>, and have done so successfully. Yet we don&#8217;t ask everyone to do this. We exempt some. More often than not, those we exempt are the big, slow, backward, stupid, failed corporations. Like CNN.</p>
