It is time to celebrate the swearing in of the first female Speaker of the House! Could anything be better? I mean a woman, climbing the ladder of success, building a career from nothing. No politically influential father, no riches to fall back on…all done through grit and determination!
The Democrats are planning on greeting her with open arms. She will be their leader! She will have all the power to select the leaders of committees, set public policy, decide when the troops will leave Iraq, and most importantly….she will plan parties. She will show the world that a good leader goes to church, looks evil in the face, and seeks relationships that foster the mindset to help our country prosper.
She’s a woman’s woman, not afraid to take charge and to tell the men what she wants to do. She’s not afraid to dictate decor and entertainment! She has the old-boys’ club shaking in its boots!

And all because people didn’t leave comments at Radioactive Liberty, thus ensuring the defeat of the Traitorcrats.

The main event on Jan. 4 is her election as speaker. First, she’ll attend a nondenominational prayer service, a tradition on the day a new Congress convenes
What about the “separation of church and state?” Doesn’t that violate the First Moonbat Principle™ or something?

Well she didn’t get where she is based on her looks, you can say that much for her. Unless looks that scare the crap out of people help your career.

Wouldn’t it be funny if at the last minute, her vote for official coronation fell through and someone else became speaker???? All of those parties–ruined!

She built “a career from nothing”? Where do you get this?
Nancy Pelosi’s father was a congressman (3 tersm) and Baltimore’s mayor (5 terms). Her brother was on the San Fran board of supervisors. She was first elected in a special election to take the place of a deceased office-holder. She ran as a Democrat in a 13% Republican district. She has refused to debate campaign opponents in her district.
I wonder if you similarly celebrated when Condoleeza Rice rose to power. Rice obviously has Pelosi one better, she is a person of color.

Seriously. I really need start doing my own research before I post on people’s comment sections.
This happened over at FM’s blog, too. Annnnnd enough of this thread hijacking. I found FM’s post.
Yeah. This is why I write drafts of posts before I post them. So you don’t have to read this dribble on a regular basis.

Silly Hamilton…don’t you know sarcasm when you see it? Otherwise, you would have noticed the emphasis on the only power she has is to plan her “I’m in power” parties. I was using sarcasm about her father and her wealth, too. Aren’t those the very things Pelosi and friends go on and on about with regard to their opposition?
Unlike most in the Democratic party…Condie did rise from nothing more than a humble, yet very solid upbringing.
Work on your sarcasm meter and eat some bacon®.
