I know I’m a day late and a dollar short on Earth Day, but if we don’t get our act together we all will be. Earth day is a day that Subversive Conservative Right Wing Extremists celebrate with wastefulness, destructiveness, and beating hippies. In tribute to our Earth Day celebration, I bring you a round up of related posts.
On a related note, I suddenly felt a brief moment of empathy with the “Freedom from Religion” Atheists, when my stepdaughter got home and was all “Earth Day this” and “Earth Day that.” I felt compelled to run to the school and tell them, “Stop teaching my kid your stupid Global Warming Religion!”
Here are our top 10 Earth Day Posts:

Earth Day, huh? T Boone Pickens and GE are sure behind Behind Earth Day. Isn’t that really National Lobby For Your Favorite Environmental Project To Make A Pile Of Cash Day?
Nancy Pelosi has dumped a big wad of loot into Pickens’ company. Can’t see any conflict of interest there and she’s from San Francisco, so that makes her a defacto hippie.
Let the beatings commence.

I had much the same reaction with my oldest stepdaughter and Earth Day… Only my angst was compounded by the fact that I had an oddly scheduled appointment time and we had to go get her from school early, and EVERY STUDENT IN THE SCHOOL was outside picking up the pine tree branches the tree trimmers left on one side of the school yard and dragging them to the other side of the yard.
Free labor? “Forced volunteerism”? Hell to the no: “We’re saving the Earth, mom.”

Different time same results Fiar.
When I was a kid I didn’t think I’d live past 30 because of what I was taught about the Cold War in school.
Most of the scary stuff and close calls happened in the 60’s yet we were taught that any day now the world would end due to nuclear annihilation.
I bet if you polled myself and my classmates back then the results would mirror the current study as far as future expectations.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with a liberal-run education system right? haha of course not.
