Financial Crisis – Super Obama Will Save Us

Barack Obama is ready to lead all 58 states out of the current financial crisis. With John McCain vowing to suspend his campaign until a bailout bill, an unidentified reporter asked Obama:
“Do you plan on attending the debate Friday? And is Senator McCain playing politics with this by saying he would not go to the debate?”
Anxious to take the nation’s top position for the next 8-10 years, Obama responded:
It’s my belief that this is exactly the time when the American people need to hear from the person who in approximately 40 days will be responsible for dealing with this mess. And I think that it is, uh, it is going to be part of the president’s job to deal with more than one thing at once.
He was then asked if he would stay on the campaign trail or head back to Washington DC to vote “present” on the bill. Obama geared up into superhuman superhero mode and replied:
If I can be helpful, then I am prepared to be anywhere, any time. If you need us, if I can be helpful, I am prepared to be there at any point. Presidents are going to have to deal with more than one thing at a time. Uh, it’s not necessary for us to think that, uh, we can only do one thing, uh, and suspend everything else.
Barack Obama can do more than one thing at a time
- He can send an email telling reporters the number of houses he owns.
- He can lift his arms above his head while reading from a teleprompter.
- He can assume the Presidency on election day while suspending the US Constitution… From his ears!
- He can protect women from being punished with a baby while putting lipstick on a pig.
- He can save the country from financial crisis while denying knowledge of his America hating, race baiting, terrorist friends.
Is there anything Barack Obama can’t do?
Other than speak coherently without the support of a teleprompter.

David you really need to check your Democrat talking points. I know this is completely foreign to you, as you seem to think that Socialism is Good Thing™ but IF McCain really did sabotage an effort to bankrupt our future and prove that the US no longer believes it’s citizens have the right to fail, I will change my position on thinking a McCain Presidency is worse than an Obama one.
McCain is the slow boil to death of Socialism that we won’t realize until it’s too late. Obama will drive the country straight down the toilet, and the country will change it’s course. Well, from what I understand, Harry Reid called on McCain to rein in the house republicans and keep them from sabotaging their senate bill. Either he didn’t do it, or he failed. Now Harry Reid is trying to get W to run McCain off from Washington DC. That’s gotta be worth something. Either way the original crappy Paulson proposal is dead. Now we’ll get a less s#itty version of the paulson proposal. Even if there were anyone in DC that wanted to let the companies fail, there won’t be able to accomplish it.
Back to the topic at hand, Barack Obama can be a Muslim and a Christian at the same time. That’s better than being a baby jesus hating atheist.

Of course the deal was an absolute skunk – or more appropriately an absolute lizard…have you seen Paulson lick his lips like a lizard every time he finishes a statement?
I hate the idea of taxpayer dollars paying off wall street fat cats to rescue them from the stupidity of their own greed…and at the same time watching them take their multi-million dollar golden parachutes. Perhaps a golden shower would be more appropriate considering their management style.
But the bailout proposal came from the Dubya administration that never met a waste of taxpayer dollars it didn’t love AND if that happens to rescue the rich boys on wall street from their own greedy stupidity, all the better.
I’m all for capitalism, not a socialist at all, but someone has to throw some red meat at the beast that mischaracterizes Obama – This wasn’t his doing. Otherwise, there won’t be a debate – it would just be a cruel feeding frenzy.
I do think something needs to be done so that the crazy excesses of the wall street types can’t destroy the financial security of every American and every home owner with a melt down of major financial corporations.
And it does drive me nuts that Johnny Mac can fight all financial regulations for..what…25 years and suddenly be a convert that the federal government now needs to regulate the financial community. His big fat cat republican financial contributors and their lobbyists are not going to be pleased that he suddenly wants the feds to have oversight on their mis-behavior.

David, even Ron Paul takes money from the financial companies, 1.6 million to be exact. So does EVERYONE on the finance committees, dem and repub.
Plus, they are getting some really cheap labor out of Frank. He’s doing all the legwork and he gets less kickbacks then some unknown on his same commitee. Hell, Chris Shays, a political unknown got more money then Frank.
Congress bailing out their friends, what a hackarama. The financial world gets $700 billion, all we got was a $600 rebate last spring and a frigging t-shirt.

Trying to blame any one person or institution for the financial situation is is just stupid and pointless. They are all at fault. This is the culmination of the greed of politicians and Wall Street, gubmint sticking it’s nose where it doesn’t belong, and turning a blind eye to the foxes in the hen house. It’s as much the American voter’s fault as it is anybodys. We’ve been allowing these sons of bitches to collectively rape us, and when we figure out what’s going on they start pointing fingers at each other. The Second Amendment is in the Constitution because the Declaration of Independence says this: “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

During all this bailout talk this week the House passed a bill giving billion in dollars in loans to the Auto industry. Toyota only had a 9% reduction in auto sales because they were smart enough to set up shop in China. Our auto companies hemmorage under weak management.
A few weeks ago they banned some types of plastic bottles because of non-empirical scientific evidence. I wonder what company benefits from that and what was the kickback to Congress was.
A few months ago they banned incendescent light bulbs because of their friend, who couldn’t convince enough people to vote for him in 2000. We all know who benefits from that one.
At one point Gore wanted to be Prez, now he just wants to get rich. Of us of course.
I’m getting to the point where I might become a politician so at least I’ll get a crack at some of the free money.

It’s not completely our fault, in the sense that people who are not united, have no real control over the body politik.
The MSM has a personality filter on its candidate coverage that precludes anybody who does not have the stomach for its fish eye lens and minutiae microscope. The only particles that get through that filter and make it to ballot box, are sociopathic narcissists, full of blind selfish ambition.
Qualified non-politicians also do not want to put up with the kind of Chicago thuggery being used by certain candidates, when they do not like the free speech of others.
So, this is why the congress is largely peopled with lawyers and Greek sophists, instead of engineers, tradesmen, small business men and people with a direct and sympathetic connection to you and I. We have people who are experts at playing the money game in D.C. but fools when it comes to building and shaping things the way the founders intended.

Les: Either we have control over who gets elected, or we don’t. Generally speaking, voters are stupid. If they weren’t we wouldn’t be about to choose between a communist and a socialist for the POTUS. I mean, take for example William Jefferson (D, LA) getting re-elected after the $90,000 was found in his freezer. All I’m saying is, everybody is to blame for this. David: Gubmint spends too much time making regulations that aren’t worth a crap so they can say “look, I did something”. Then when their crappy regulations cause more trouble, they all point the finger elsewhere. For example, when people get pissed about drunk driving, our politicians lower the legal BAC. Problem is a DWI is still almost impossible to prosecute, but wow, they did something.

I really don’t understand spreading the wealth. I pay my bills, work very hard for the $50K a year that the government takes $18K of, and have zero debt. If I can do it, so can every American. The whole idea of welfare blows my mind. The Bailout flat out floors me. If I make a mistake, I end up paying for it dearly. I want to know how I can rack up millions and bail out on paying the bill. The goverment and the DEMS are pulliong the largest dine and dash in world history!!! This entire mess can be blamed on Clintons NAFTA, and his deregulating the mortgage industry. Nafta allowed companies to participate in the “world Economy”, well everyone knows that corporations are greedy – the intentions were good, but all it did was allow US companies increase their profit margins with cheap CHINA labor…. meanwhile, China is demanding more oil driving up the oil markets; Americans lose their jobs to Chinese labor; greedy companies shoot themselves in the foot by laying off the very people that buy their products………. Then Freddie and Fannie make money so easy to get that the no longer regulated shady mortgage brokers are and push first time home buyers into borrowing more than they can afford…… housing demand drive prices up… then the first time home buyer lost his job and can’t afford his home that he has no equity in…. Banks freak out…. then we are in the mess we are in now where homes are depreciating faster than a used car.
History shows that it takes at least 6-8 years for a presidents policy to take effect. Clinton took credit for the Regan / Bush years….. and now Bush is being blamed for what is really from the Clinton years.
It is so bad now, that I don’t think the next 2 presidents will last more than a term.
