Ummm…I’m joining my local “Y,” but I’m not gay. I hope it’s fun, but I don’t plan on staying there overnight or anything.

I’ve never stayed at the YMCA, since I’m not gay. But it really doesn’t sound like all that much fun. Their list of things to do seems rather like common, ordinary things that I do already on a daily basis.
For example, getting yourself clean and having a good meal. These are activities which are commonly referred to as “activities of daily living” or ADL’s. And while I admit that they are important activities, I do not think that they constitute fun.
On the other hand, sailing the seven seas would be fun. Maybe joining the Navy would be a much better choice. And you could put your mind at ease and protect the Motherland at the same time.
