Greenpeace Seizes Japan Nuclear Disaster to Advance Anti-Nuke Agenda
The Nutbags on the Left love disasters. They’re the perfect opportunity to advance their psychotic, anti-liberty agendas, and the recent tragedy in Japan is a perfect example of how the Sociopathic Left converges on any and all crises, even to the point of alienating their own base.
Danny Sullivan posted a picture on twitpic where Greenpeace glommed on to death and human tragedy in Fukushima to pander. Part of the text reads:
The disaster unfolding in Japan is a terrible reminder of the dangers on nuclear power. Tell the President and your members of Congress that there is no place for taxpayer giveaways to the nuclear industry in this year’s budget.
I want to really give credit to Mr. Sullivan here for replying to this poor timing and bad taste by an organization he supports by tweeting
dear @greenpeace. could we bury the dead in japan before you email me to take action against nuclear power?
I follow Danny because he gives good information on how to build a worthwhile brand and website, but our politics generally couldn’t be more opposite. I don’t know what else to say other than the fact that I agree wholeheartedly with his sentiment.
This is much more the time to use any ability you have to reach the public to band together and support the victims of tragedy. Not to attempt to score political points on the heels of an international catastrophe.

Hell, even Al Gore didn’t touch this one.

Fiar- Totally agree with you on this one. Disasters ARE NOT the right or proper time to try to make political or social hay. The sun ain’t shining down none too brightly on Japan.
Chris- Maybe not Gore, but I wasn’t disappointed by the wacked-out, enviro-mentals. As soon as I heard about quake, I held my breath as along as I could, then checked the Internet. Yep, there they were, the ‘Global Warming caused it’ posts.

Perhaps you folks are the ones too “politically” oriented. Sure different groups try to “score” political and social points at various times. But noting the incredibly frail line between a “safe” side by side existence with a power plant and “NOT” is best done at THIS TIME.
The story of the landlord who wouldn’t fix the roof, comes to mind. It’s ok when it’s not raining, and when it is it’s too dangerous to get up there and fix it.
Also the ‘Global warming caused it’ posts have *nothing* to do with this issue. Whether or not to have nuclear power plants in peoples neighbourhoods has been an issue for decades. And it’s because people acclimatise to their presence that the issue just gets rolled around as if all it is is a political football.
It’s PEOPLE’S LIVES AT RISK, and only NOW does anyone sit up and watch the TV. Hence the need to voice the rant that’s been there all along but ignored by most.
I can tell you’ll bury the dead and then move on.
The best part of 10 years I lived there 10 minutes drive from Tokai power station. We would chat over beers and chuckle about “what if”. I’m just lucky I moved away/back to my home country before this happened.
“Nutbags love disasters” what a crock of s**t. The mainstream love to cover them up. Just bodies to the powers that be.
i guess you’d guys would be like agreeing with Larry Kudlow then

Glad the market damage isn’t as high as the human?
You probably also like that gas mining, Fracking is it? Where good people’s lives are ruined by a process that destroys their water to the point where the chemicals give them ruinous health issues…?
A let me guess … I just sound like a Lefty nut job, why would a sane non nutbag care about people. It’s not global warming that’ll kill us, just the shear stupid, head up it’s ass attitude of people who think the dollar and the [financial] economy is number one – all that matters.
Bit by bit this planet is being turned into the {Star Wars] deathstar. A blob of concrete floating in space. But that’s ok, coz we’ll all have jobs … but wait .. doing what? sweeping the concrete?
The train has probably *left* the station when it comes to humanity stopping the stupid behaviour and saving what we’ve got so that our children don’t have to live a life with a facemask on and a bottle of water (and O2 even) to get about in. A life struggling to even FIND drinkable water. They won’t be able to legally grow their own food, if the Big Corps get their way because they want to patent all the seeds so no money = no new veggies in the garden.
It’s a sick and twisted profit game, all of us destined to be the losers. Of course the 1% of the world pop that owns the majority of the wealth don’t think that, they’re content to think they can buy their way to an island with clean air and good water, and servants. Bet they don’t live near the nuclear power plant they doubtless have shares in.

Dee Are- You are one of the very few non-conservatives to visit here who actually is capable of a cogent thought. I don’t agree with your reasoning, but it was reasoning.
This is a humor, satire, and sarcasm zone. We take a situation, policy, or statement and use it to suit the point we wish make. As with all such venues, there is always an underlying philosophy, so if I decide to use your views as fodder -in the form of a post ripping your words apart- don’t take it personally, it’s not meant to be. I really am thinking about doing it.
While (and I believe I can speak for Fiar and Chris) we despise much of our country’s political actions and policies and the Far Left who support them, we don’t actually hate anyone. Hate takes a lot of energy, and if the way Radioactive Liberty operates is any indication, we’re much too lazy to maintain that level of commitment.
I hope you continue to comment on future posts, I think we could have fun disagreeing. After all, that’s why we do this. BTW, the challenge is still in place. If you, or anyone who disagrees with us wish to write a humorous post, I’ll publish it. My gmail account for lesjameshumor is always open.
