Hard Attack!
A co-worker, that I got into metal 6 years ago, when I came back to work at my current employer, has Sirius staellite radio. He’s had it for a while, and he uses an FM transmitter to send it from the satellite receiver to his radio at his work station when he’s running the shipping machine.
Today he asked me if I tried tuning my radio to 87.9, which is the station he receives the FM transmitter. I said, “No.” He said to try it, and see if I can pick up the feed. I can, and I’m about 115 yards away from the transmitter. I’m even listening to it out here in my car, with limited static, and that’s even adding in the fact that the wireless transmitter on my laptop is creating interference.
I’m pretty happy right now. I usually listen to my mp3 player, but it get tiresome selecting what I want. Now I can tune in to his satellite radio, and that rocks! Ooh. Some old Judas Preist right now.

THat’s awesome. I never thought about sharing the signal at work. That’s a great idea.

The most amazing thing is the range. I’m getting it on my car stereo in the parking lot, pretty darn clear, and I’m about 800 feet from the transmitter.

That’s awesome. Sirius’ transmitter must kick the crap out of XM’s, because mine SUCKS. I try to listen to it in my truck, and the volume is really low.
