In case you were wondering where my site has been, I suffered a dread DOS attack. I set the previous post up using my FTP client to upload the audio, shut it down, and finished the post. Then I began to get hundreds of emails pouring in to my inbox all with weird-names-at-radioactiveliberty.com and all saying that delivery service failed to other email addresses that I’ve never heard of. They had to shut down my account to keep the server from crashing.
The admin at MidPhase told me that they were getting thousands of emails a minute from my domain.
RT - Chief Mongress sent an email of concern. The rest of you suck!
Except for Von. I got the computer of doom up and running. I had to reinstall windows. Thanks to Von for a little added assistance, and info. He’s the man. The rest of you suck, except for the Chief Mongress.
Now my computer has no programs on it, except for Firefox. Oh, here’s a trip - It was updating and it told me to “Upgrade” to Idiot Exploder 7. Bwahahahaha! I’m not falling for that shit again. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have an anti-virus program to install. I kinda need one of those.

Of course I don’t suck. I am the Chief Mongress…I look out for y’all.
I’m glad you’re up and running. I needed some anger to relate to today.
Now get your computer up and running and get to posting!

Heh, thanks. Did you figure out the partitioning thing,or just decide to forget it?

I did do a partition prior to installation. It didn’t give a drive name to the other part of the partition though. Was it supposed to? Right now it just looks like I have a smaller hard drive than I used to.
RT - Bed early??? What happened there?

I just figured you didn’t pay your hosting service on time or some other such screw up. In other words, a self-inflicted dumbass attack instead of a outside DOS attack.

Nope. Bill isn’t due until February.
FM, it’s nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

I don’t have your email or I would have asked WTH was going on. I tried to log on and it said your account was suspended. I was wondering if you needed a few bucks to pay your bill. :p
Glad you’re back…

Hmm…I got a “suggestion” on my computer today that I should update to Exlorer 7. For some reason, I don’t think I will be making that move.

Heh, I didn’t say I didn’t believe you, all I said was that I haven’t seen it before.
I do know that IE7 is part of Windows Updates now, so you should watch it if you have auto update turned on.

I believed you, I have just never seen a browser install kill a machine…
I did see a new font install kill an entire network before. FatWhiteMan and I worked on that problem all night once.
We worked at a newspaper and corporate sent down new fonts to be installed. We installed them and all the Mac’s in the building died.
And by “died” I mean they really died. Wouldn’t even boot up right anymore.
It was pretty bad…
