Why does the government steal our money and give it away to those who don’t deserve it? Why am I paying for Amtrak not to go under, when they don’t know how to run their business? Surely someone could do it better than them. Why am I paying for Bob to sit at home and watch satellite TV instead of working? Why am I paying ridiculous property taxes for a school district I won’t send my kids to? One of the worst in the state, in both education, and management of funds. Neighboring areas have lower property taxes, for higher value properties, and better schools. Explain it to me in small words so I can understand why my brother paid about the same for a property 4 times the value of mine, for one of the best school districts in the state. He only lived 15 miles away.
People should earn their keep, and keep what the earn.
