It’s Like Whack-a-Mole

October 17th, 2006 by Fiar · 7 Comments ·

It’s time to give up. It’s time to redeploy our resources. I have been fighting this war at my job for 6 and 1/2 years and still it hasn’t gotten any better. It seems like it will never end.

I want to emphasize that the vast majority of stock items are peaceful, and generally stay in their own location, minding their own business, but a small minority of these stock items are hostile and become viscous attacking orders. These orders line up one by one and thrust themselves at the innocent employees, like myself, and attack. We’re highly trained and have the benefit of sophisticated technology, so the orders should be no match for our skills, but it can easily become a war of attrition.

Six and a half years now, and still the orders continue to come. In fact, it seems that completing orders just makes more orders! Once one is completed, here come two or three more. they just don’t stop! It’s obvious that by completing orders, we are merely enraging the otherwise peaceful stock items to attack.

It’s a Quagmire! We could try using more manpower, but that wouldn’t stop the orders. Even when it seems that we have the orders beat, they regroup, and recruit others for their cause. Then they attack, mercilessly, ruthlessly, with no regard for the well being of us employees.

It’s clear that there is only one way to end the madness. We need to stop completing orders, and redeploy to another location. We also need to use diplomacy, and listen to the demands of the orders. Perhaps they just want a territory of their own. We need to fight a smarter, more intelligent war on the orders, because at the rate we are going, we will never win.

One other thing is clear as well. It is the fault of the Bush administration and it’s policies that we find ourselves in this quagmire. Thanks to Bush tax cuts for the rich, economic growth occurred, and businesses grew. New construction was planned, and new construction means people need wire and cable. I blame Bush for this. I blame Bush!

The EEEEEVIIIIIIIIL Rethuglinazis and their tax cuts on the rich have caused this failed foreign policy to result in a war on the workers! Have you ever seen the movie Gung Ho? Coincidence? I think not!

Terribly sorry, old boy, I promise to exercise the appropriate decorum from now on, and treat this topic with the requisite reverence.
