Political Humor | John Murtha is No Patriot

John Murtha (D-PA), speaking about his new “Slow Bleed” plan for surrender in Iraq, said of our troops, “They won’t have the equipment, they don’t have the training, and they won’t be able to do the work.”

It’s long been known that I support the war, but not the troops, so I applaud Murtha’s flagrant disregard for the lives and well being of our men and women in combat. Surely, once supplies run out, while they are Stuck in Iraq™, their lives will be wasted in no time flat. Also, as an added bonus, the “Anti-War” contingent will be tired from so much partying and celebrating each and every Grim Milestone™ as the body count skyrockets. When “Anti-War” protesters are tired, they stay at home - in bed - instead of courageously spitting on a disabled veteran.

Cutting off supplies, and making sure that our soldiers are neither armed nor equipped, and refusing to send in reinforcements may be a brilliant strategy for making US soldiers into politically useful dead soldiers, but it won’t be conducive to turning Iraq into a United States Imperial Colony, and it won’t help us steal their oil either.

It almost seems as if Murtha wants to liberate the Iraqi people from their oppressive shackles of a freely and fairly elected government. Then the Iraqis will no longer be slaves to the electoral process, and they can be free to have their leaders chosen for them. They will be liberated from their lives and their property in a bloodbath initiated by their new Iranian Puppet regime, who will give them freedom from choice as they institute spirit liberating Sharia law on the Iraqis.

Then where will we be? With Iraq no longer a colony, how will we steal their oil?
