My Tax Dollars at Work

May 7th, 2007 by Fiar · 6 Comments ·

Apparently, when I mailed in my tax forms, I forgot to sign my return. The IRS helpfully sent them back to me and graciously provided an envelope, pre-addressed, but no postage paid, for me to re-send my return. They even put a little red “X” on the return where it needed to be signed. They’re just so considerate that way.

IRS Envelope too small

Of course, the envelope was too small to fit my forms in it. That’s my tax dollars at work. The gummint diligently and literally cut corners to the point of uselessness. (I have helpfully enhanced the edges of the envelope). Compare the envelope I used to the one they sent me to use.

Humor-Blogs.com is worth every penny, on the other hand.

UPDATE! … And people want to trust the government with their health care? No thanks!
