Now I Know How Dean Esmay Feels

March 2nd, 2007 by Fiar · 2 Comments ·

You would think that I should be able to wake up in the morning, saunter over to the computer, and look at my site without feeling “ashamed as a human being.” It doesn’t seem like too much to ask, but apparently it is.

I believe that it’s important to have principles, and stand by them, no matter how misinformed, maladjusted, malnourished, or moronic those principles are. So, yesterday, I drew a line in the sand regarding the behavior of Radioactive Liberty contributors. It was perfectly reasonable. I wasn’t telling people what to think, just what they can and cannot do.

For what is a man if he alienates his friends while losing his sanity? Hmm. I’m not really sure where I was going with that.

I issued a Diktat Editorial Policy for all contributors to abide by. After all, if a person is going to take himself overly seriously, then he must have an Editorial Policy, or at least an Editorial Position, like Polipundit. Otherwise, readers will be left with the impression that the Blog Administrator is nothing more than “some guy” expressing an opinion.

What did I wake up to, you ask? Shame. I died a little inside when I saw that Fmragtops took it upon himself to piss all over my perfectly reasonable request. It was a line - an impenetrable fortress - and he made an illegal border crossing in the dead of the night and pissed all over my Decree. That’s right Monsieur, I question your citizenship!

I thought of you as a friend, but you make me ashamed as a human being. If you people can’t accept my editorial policy, then you don’t belong here. That’s just how it is and there will be no futher debate on the topic because, obviously, the goal is to stifle debate.

I don’t want to go topic here, but the new Fox News chick JimmyB posted is hot, and that’s been distracting me all day. It’s a good thing that you’re not a contributor here, Jimmy, or you’d be out the door. You ingrate! Your fired, Jimmy! Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

That is our stated editorial position. You–and this includes commenters–will work from respect for that, or you just need to leave.

If you have any further questions about the policy, direct them to me.

UPDATE: Or more like stuff I forgot to tell FM. I’m no Hurricane Katrina survivor. Ain’t never been one, ain’t never gonna be one. Ain’t related to any. I’ve never received a FEMA issued debit card for more money than I make in a year, and I probably never will. Crap, Jimmy’s picture of Courtney Friel made me forget where I was going with that one too.

Maybe someone at Humor-Blogs.com knows.

Dean has A LOT more to be “ashamed as a human being,” and it has nothing to do with his Islamofascist ass-kissing.

It would be nice if he could defend ALL faiths with the temerity, I mean tenacity that he does Islam. It would make him seem a lot more sincere instead of paying the necessary tithe that “progressives” have to pay in lip service the God of Political Correctness.

Hey Dean, I have a proposition for you: apply that standard to the pre-Reformation Catholic Church, and I retract my public observation that you are, in fact, a hypocrite with no morals that were not dictated to you.

[...] When Comrade FIAR awoke to such disobedience and counter-revolutionary behavior, he was, of course, much Esmayed dismayed, but being strong in his faith, he wasn’t about to take it sitting down. [...]
