Earlier today, the radio station that was on at work played Rush (the band, not the commentator) and the DJ referred to them as a “great Canadian band.” The thing was, I never got to the “band” portion of the phrase in my mind.
What I heard was “great Canadian,” and I thought
WHA???

Great Canadian? Isn’t that a contradiction?
