Fiar, the libertarian streak in me probably puts us both in a similar mindset. I think it is immoral but probably should not be illegal. In this way, moral people live and hedonistic hippies, bent on using their biology for mere gratification, can volutarily subtract their protein from the human gene bank.

@Insol, I’m torn on abortion. On one hand, I think it’s murder. On the other hand, the majority of people having them are Liberals. Additionally, children tend to have similar political beliefs to their parents, so it’s murder of future political enemies. That makes me want to be in favor of it.

Chris, the whole DDT thing is a real peeve of mine, and I would say you summarized my view pretty accurately.

People, there’s no AIDS epidemic in Africa. There’s an easily preventable and treatable disease epidemic. They are dying from things we don’t die from in America, despite our supposedly horrible health care system, because they are diseases that are so easy to treat/prevent.

Then people with a vested interest in labelling it “AIDS” declare deaths from malaria, cholera, and dysentery to be AIDS.

DDT and better refrigeration/sanitation would cure the “AIDS epidemic.”

On the plus side, I’m getting a tax rebate.
