Tuesday Turns Into Bad Choices Day

barrellshirtobama

Another Tuesday of bad choices when it comes to government? Who da thunk it?

There is no better day to pretty much cement a trillion-dollar Stimulus Plan into law after all.

Barack Obama even got things going twenty-four hours earlier. Just to warm up I am guessing.

At a speech in Elkhart, Indiana Monday our Grand Poobah was introduced by a laid-off worker of a company that makes RV’s.

Aren’t recreational vehicles, which get a half-mile to the gallon and leave a bigger carbon footprint than Al Gore’s house a no-no for the Global Warming people?

I could care less just saying. Seems like something Bush would do.

So Bad Choice Tuesday arrived and Obama had the bright idea of betting his second term on the Stimulus plan in his Town Hall Giveaway in Fort Myers:

“I’m not going to make any excuses,” Obama said at a town hall meeting here, in perhaps the most pivotal political state in America. “If stuff hasn’t worked, if people don’t feel like I’ve led the country in the right direction then you’ll have a new president.”

Way to go Negative Nancy. Imagine the same situation in the Steelers locker room before the Super Bowl…

Coach Tomlin: “Okay guys, these plays we drew up and practiced all week might not work. If that happens then we won’t win and someone else will be the champion. Alright on three, go Steelers!”

Hey, at least Obama gave away a house right? You can have one too but you better hurry because this offer from the government ends January 19, 2013.

Operators standing by now!

Meanwhile, back in Washington, Tim Geithner, our Treasury Secretary/Czar spent the day in the aptly-named Everett Dirksen Building trying to convince lawmakers he has a plan to rescue the financial system.

At one point he invoked the infamous Freddy “Boom Boom” Washington defense from Welcome Back Kotter:

Dirksen, by the way is the politician credited with a fitting quote, though it probably was not coined by him:

“A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you are talking real money.”

Just change that to trillions. A billion dollars is walking-around money these days.

Especially on Tuesdays.

Does anyone know if there was tens of millions set aside in this “stimulus package” for coopers?

I’d personally like to thank Sen Judd Gregg (R) New Hampshire, before Chris does. He has withdrawn his name from consideration for Commerce Secretary. He sighted something like irreconcilable differences with the Giant Obama Pork Pie and 2010 Census as the reasons.

Thank you Sen Gregg, for reaching between your legs and finding a pair.

Yay for Senator Gregg! Now if he’d just train a few more on how to do that.

    That’s my Senator :)

Unfortunately Carol Shea-Porter beat Sununu’s son for the other Senate spot in NH last year so we got one red one blue.

Mister Gregg is just like the other neo-cons. Oppose oppose oppose.

Glad I live in Massachusetts where my Rep is Barney Frank. He gets it.

    Yeah, he gets “it”.

I’ve been to the Super Liberal web site. I am ashamed. There is no way you can be a liberal any longer. You try to be funny, when there is nothing to be funny about. You have played into the hands of these monsters. If you have any compassion left for your fellow man, stop humoring these heathens and get back to you roots. I am personally glad Gregg is no longer going to be allowed to have the commerce secretary job. He was the wrong man and I’m sure he was told that. This is the reason he left and not the lie he told about not wanting it. He was forced out. We will have only the right kind of people in the right positions. With Panetta in the CIA Americans will no longer be spied upon. Leahy will get the truth and then Bush and all of his crooked friends will be behind bars. Finally you will be gone when the Fairness Doctrine is brought back to wipe out your hate. My mission to bring you a chance to repent is almost at an end.

    Pffftt!!!

You wish you were as liberal as I am. You probably don’t even get Section 8 housing, free meds, and a Starbucks to blog at.

I live off the government because I am a true liberal. The goal is what can they do for us.

Other people pay taxes so we can afford free stuff right?

I think I’m going to throw up now. Thanks you Liberals.

Hey, Super Liberal, remember JFK the democrat? “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”

How easily some people forget. . .

JFK would be a Republican these days and never would have been President. The man actually was a war hero. What a disgrace to the nation. I am sure he and the turn coat Lieberman would be good friends if he were alive today. Clinton had the courage to dodge the slavery of mandatory military service during the illegal Viet Nam war. Bush was a coward by hiding in the National Guard. Obama showed strength by serving his nation as a community organizer before going into politics. See the pattern? The military ruins peoples lives and brain washes them into making bad decisions for the rest of their lives. The quicker President Obama gets rid of the war mongers the better. We will soon have world peace.

Steve, if it wasn’t for people like JFK, Ronald Reagan, George Bush Sr, Eisenhower, and the millions of other servicemen who have fought for our country, half of America would have become apart of Nazi Germany and the other half would have been held by the Japanese. The military KEEPS US ALIVE.

Elm you probably are in favor of a draft or mandatory service like in Israel.

We need less War Presidents and more leaders that will provide for our needs like Lyndon Johnson and Warren Harding

  17. Elm says:

No I am not in favor of the draft. I just respect the military.

P.S. LBJ increased the number of troops in Vietnam.

  18. Like or Dislike: Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

He only increased them because of pressure from the right wingers, before they were called neo-cons.

LBJ gave us The Great Society!

And thanks to Obama we have another Great Society coming. I for one can’t wait.

man this is gonna be awesome!!!

Elm if you need to use my food stamp debit card let me know.
