Presidential Address Rebuttal

February 25th, 2009 by JumpOut · 11 Comments ·

Since the Governor of the state of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal, is giving the rebuttal to the Presidential Address tonight, it’s only fitting that your favorite Louisiana blogger at Political Humor by Radioactive Liberty provides the official PH by RL rebuttal. Let me preface my rebuttal by pointing out the fact that I didn’t watch any of President Obama’s speech. I mean, why would I. It’s not like he’s going to say anything we haven’t heard.

The president said something about inherited deficits, blah blah blah. Just make sure you overlook the fact that he voted for the first bailout. Oh, and make sure you overlook that he just signed the stealfromus bill that will require this country to print a gazillion dollars we don’t have. All the while trying to push through nationalized health care, more unemployment benefits, and more pork than Memphis in May.

The president blathered about some hippiefied education nonsense. I imagine it had something to do with spending more money. What a novel idea. Spending ass loads of money on education has worked so well up to this point.

I think president jugears floated some nonsense about there being no earmarks in the stealfromus package. Are you fucking kidding me? How did he not get struck by a bolt of lightening? The stealfromus bill had provisions for frisbee golf parks, and STD crap. It was like the bill was designed to buy votes just in case some of the democrats decided not to goose-step with the rest of the party.

Did I hear him mention something about transparency in government? Or would I have had I actually watched the speech? Oh em gee! I bet there was thunderous applause for that one, wasn’t there? Let me say this about that: Geithner, Daschle, Richardson, and for good measure, Blagojevich and Burris. Culture of Corruption™, anyone?

It seems our first half-white president seems to have a knack for say stuff that is blatantly untrue. It also seems that anyone that supports Obama is stupid. In summation I would like to quote one of the finest pieces of American cinema ever made, My Cousin Vinny. “Uh… everything that guy just said is bullshit… Thank you.”

I can’t figure out why he wants to bail out Puegeot and Citroen. Isn’t it bad enough giving $900mil to Gaza? I want a new president, this one sucks.

Eric- were you referring to his statement about the auto industry, saying something about not letting down the country that invented the automobile? Technically that IS France, but usually the honor goes to Benz of Germany.

What a moron. And they thought Bush was an idiot!

Then again, maybe he meant just that. Scary.

Also noticed he lectured us that around the world, so many other nations are greener than we are when it come to energy. He skipped France as they have a very large number of nuke plants.

I knew that would be understood here, those lib blogs didn’t get it at all.

I’ve read before that America actually has invested more money and etc to “greener” energy than any other country. But I guess Obama won’t mention that, will he?

Welcome back Jump. Les has taken to abusing readers in your absence, but he doesn’t to it with your style, grace or taser.

Did I hear him mention something about transparency in government?

Uh, they are being very transparent. We can see right through their words and actions.

See…you were trying to be logical and think that he meant transparency = upfront. Heh. He spoke like a true lawyer and politician.

Good to have ya back, JO! :)

I guess that since both major parties are guilty of overspending, wasteful spending, and raising deficits, both sides get to continually point out how poorly each side is doing.

It is a fact that the debt went up more during Bush’s administration then any previous administration.
While Democrats had congress for the last two years of the administration, I do not believe they were in control for the majority of Bush’s term (correct me if I am wrong, I sometimes am).

AFTER Obama’s first term, lets see what our total debt is. Lets not judge too quickly.

IF it has not gone down at all (considering he has said he will cut it in half) I will Not support him, or vote for him, in a future election.
(well I didn’t vote for him, or for McCain this time .)

IF the debt has not gone down, and he chooses to run for a 2nd term, he will loose my respect.
Because I get the feeling that he won’t run again, if he fails to do what he thinks he can do for America.

I don’t get this “more pork than Memphis in May” reference.

Is this when they put lipstick on pigs like I heard so much about during the election?

The World Championship Barbecue Contest is in Memphis in May, Jr.

Eileen, what do you mean “both” sides. There is one party rule and they just pretend to be two parties. That way we won’t notice that they are “both” actually the Socialist Party.

JR, us non-rednecks don’t know these things.
