It’s Halftime in the early games right now so that provides the theme for this week’s Sunday Shockwaves.
Sunday Shockwaves is a feature at Radioactive Liberty in which we discuss hot-button issues of the day. Hopefully, this will lead to much lively discussion and heated debate. Let’s try to keep it moderately civil, though, in spite of the fact that we will, no doubt, be discussing issues that evoke strong feelings and strike to the very core of our beliefs.
Please - I can not emphasize this enough - refrain from invoking ad hominems, making death threats, resorting to name calling, or issuing condemnations until you have responded with at least one grammatically complete sentence.
Now, on with the argument - Halftime: Shameless extra advertising time or essential highlights and scores.
Discuss.

I watch to see who might pop a vein. Oh, and that thing that all the ex-players do with their hands…some kind of hand cupping a fist thing or the fingertips all touching basket thing…other than that, useless over-advertising. I can watch a scroll or post game coverage on NFL network for the game related stuff.
Damn…four losses so far in my pool, now that has me pissed!

I go with extra advertising, but I am a comsumer whore so that’s okay with me. Or maybe it a chance to let the players get a break. They gotta get those steroids in sometime.
And a fatwa on all of you who get to stay home and watch football while I slave away at work.

I too believe it is shameless extra-advertising. Players? Break? Wha? When I was there age, we didn’t get breaks. At halftime, we played a scrimmage against ourselves while the back-ups ran windsprints.
A fatwa back on you, SeanS, for selling us out, and going to work instead of watching the games with us! =P
Oh, and GO SAINTS!!!!

Yeah, well the only bright spot in my Hotwing Conspiracy Fantasy Football Team, the Bears defense, is getting shelled by the friggin’ Cardinals. Crap, looks like I lose again.
