RL Political Humor Quick Hits 3

obama creampuff sorry political humor funny pictures

This week’s RL Political Humor Quick Hits goes European like our Creampuff-In-Chief on his current leg of the 2009 World Apology Tour but without all the hugs and endless repetitions of  “Kumbaya” by the campfire.

Obama Apologizes for Nuclear Weapons

While North Korea tried to launch a missile with the potential to carry a nuclear payload Sunday, Obama’s response was to tell the world sorry for being the leader of the first country to use nukes as weapons:

“As a nuclear power – as the only nuclear power to have used a nuclear weapon – the United States has a moral responsibility to act,”

Loxodonta, a commenter on Hot Air had a great reaction to that line:

“So, while on European soil, the current occupant of the White House is blaming FDR for ending WWII.”

It was actually Truman, which is mere semantics because the point of the comment is still valid: Nukes ended the war and saved more lives in the long run.

Not to worry though Lox, Obama is calling for tougher UN sanctions.

That should be a big help because asking them to solve a problem is like asking a crackhead to safeguard your money.

As insurance Hillary was dispatched to the UN to schmooze China, a country that told us recently our dollar is worth nothing, and Russia who wants gold backing for money, all in the hopes the two nations would lean on North Korea.

I think that is what they mean by “Overseas Contingency Plan.”

With plans like these who needs enemies?

UK Funds Anti-Christian Literature

Obama was right. The war is not against Islam but Christianity in the UK:

“A Government-funded charity was at the centre of a row last night after a magazine it publishes for children appeared to depict Christians as Islamophobes who regard Muslims as terrorists.”

Yes that is a Christian cross but Natasha Finlayson, trust chief executive of the charity in question But Who Cares doesn’t see it that way:

“When I saw the cartoon, I didn’t think of that character being a Christian because I saw the cross as ‘bling’, as jewelry. “

Bling? Jewelry? So what’s the hijab, a fashion accessory?

It would not have been so bad if she didn’t preface it with this:

” ‘…the charity had received a complaint but did not agree the cartoon was derogatory towards Christians. I am a Christian myself, so when a woman called us, I went back and looked at the comic strip from her point of view,’ Ms Finlayson said. ‘I am sorry that she is upset but I don’t share her view.’ “

In other words as long as she isn’t the Christian being eaten by the lions everything is fine.

Good Thing Palm Sunday Wasn’t Seven Days Earlier

If it was, this scene of penitents celebrating Spain’s Holy Week might have been completely misinterpreted by the American Drool-By Media with Obama just hundreds of miles away attending the G20.

When our idiotic media mistakenly attributes a thrown shoe as an insult to the guest and not the host of a Middle Eastern country you can only imagine the negative spin on something like this.
