Obama’s Speech on Kinetic Military Action in Libya

Although there seems to be plenty of glowing praise as to how wonderful and magnificent President Obama is, I liked the speech on Kinetic Military Action in Libya much better when President Bush gave it.

Ah, yes, the campaign strategy for Obama in 2012. So, I would assume you are not too fond of Obama out on the war trail then, correct.

Or not. President Obama is just so DREEEEEAMY!
(Typical Obama voter – speaking out her ass.)

No, No Fly Zone For Democracy and Morality

Promises, promises

Dammit, we were promised by Bush, the Iraq war would be paid back with oil revenues. My taxes went, and our military went, and spilled their blood. What did we get for all our money and their sacrifices?

I’ll tell you what we got. Thousands of dead and wounded members of our Armed Forces. These are some of the finest people you’ll ever meet. Or you could have, if a lot of them hadn’t died for all but worthless ends (which hasn’t even ended yet), while truckloads of our grandchildren’s  cash pour into endless holes of corruption and waste.

I don’t think Cowboy Bush lied, but I do believe nation building is NOT a benefit to America. If it comes down to military action, do it on the cheap. Bomb the shit out of them, then fly away. The same country acts up again, nuke ‘em. You only have to do this once or twice and the rest of the world takes notice. It worked in Japan.

Where does our current Cowboy President stand on his promises? You know Obama, the guy who wets his head, slides it through his anal sphincter, to feel which way the wind blows. Not that I’m singling him out. This seems to be the favorite decision making technique of most of our elected reps.

Well, President Obama hasn’t pulled out of anything, to include Iraq or Gitmo.  He hasn’t taken our troops out of Afghanistan either. Instead he’s added tens of thousands more. Forget about the booming economy and hundreds of thousands of jobs he promised to create by now.

And another thing. Don’t tell me we can’t train an Afgan army in ten years. We can, but won’t. The U.S. military is very good at training troops. The problem is -as always- the dick-headed politicians sticking their craniums in where they have no business.

Here we go again and again and…

Now Barack, The Magic Negotiator has given over U.S.  sovereignty to the U.N. We were told we didn’t dare unilaterally impose a no fly zone over Libya. But let the U.N. TELL US to go, and the idiots in Washington -on both sides of spectrum- are all over it. Except Obama never asked Congress, he went unilateral, like a dictator seeking to depose another dictator.

Meanwhile he’s vacationing in Brazil, who abstained from voting for the No Fly Zone.

So we’re bombing Libya. What the hell? How’s Obama going to pay for this one? Borrow more money from China, who also abstained from voting for this action? Knock over Gaddafi and re-build another nation, that won’t appreciate it or repay us in any way other than spitting in our faces? Great policy.

Why the hell are we doing this again? Where are our national interests being threatened? Obama says it’s in our interest. I don’t see it.

Want peace and stability in the Middle East? Your not going to get it -ever. Let them fight it out, and then go in and deal with whomever is left. Keep our asses (and by that I mean politicians) out of their business. Too simplistic for you?

On the Home Front

I’m sick and tired of hearing the EPA dictate to the people who hired them, about what we can and cannot do with our own natural resources. You want to use F18s, drones, cruise missiles and stealth bombers to secure an energy supply? Start there.

Congress may finally get the message and begin doing what we ask and not what they want, after that Shock and Awe campaign.

Left to our own devices, we wouldn’t need the rest of the world’s oil supply, but right now we’re stuck with that dependency. Between all the various reserves we have here, nuclear, hydro-electric and the Great American Entrepreneurial Spirit and genus for inventiveness, we could be just fine.

I can’t count the number of times over the past thirty five years or so I’ve heard the same tired, it’ll take eight to tens years to develop whatever energy source it was at the time. We’re way late to that party. Hopefully not too late.

But instead of taking positive action we get: Tax and Spend. Borrow and Spend. TARP over mistakes. One dollar denomination toilet paper. Bail-out, bail-out, bail-out… They’re Quantitatively Easing us into Zimbabwe.

Wake up! Gas and other prices are high because our currency’s value is so low! Without all of our government’s “help”, we’d still be paying around two bucks a gallon.

Bottom Line

Keep out of other people’s affairs and mind our own business. Get our own financial house in order before even beginning to hint at thinking about helping anybody else.  If private citizens want to contribute, great, but keep our government out of other folk’s lives -and ours too.

Any of you who think we should be flying anything over Libya, or engaging in yet another ground conflict – because it the right and moral thing to do- without volunteering to be the first boots to tread Libyan soil, can go fuck yourselves.

If we have to fight in the Middle East, at least let’s do it for our own true self interest. Do it for the oil. To the victor go the spoils.

You want to know just where I get off writing this? I’ll tell you. I’m very politically and historically aware, I can read the trends. I know of what I speak. I’m a taxpayer -a real one, not one of the 50% who don’t actually pay taxes. I vote in every election, and one more thing, I’m no Chickenhawk, I’m a proud, retired veteran of the United States Army.

Got an opposing opinion? Bring it on!

Libya No Fly Zone For Oil

Hot on the heels of the highly successful -quick in and out, no mission creep, let’s just keep the enemy’s planes grounded for a little while- strategies of Bosnia and Iraq, War Lord in Chief, Barack Obama, is seriously looking at the option of imposing a No Fly Zone For Oil over Libya.

Not content with just the two wars George Bush left him, he feels the overwhelming need to surpass his predecessor. Having out golfed and spent him, Obama now wants a third war -to secure his legacy of superiority over W.

It’s a no brainer, (seriously), since with Obama in the White House, Gitmo is no longer a recruiting tool for those extremist of unknown origin, and the so called, “war” in Afghanistan is really nothing more than Community Organizing.

I’m not sure how Obama will get around all of those Democrats, who see the current wars as unfunded liabilities, and believe that they should have been paid for through tax increases, but John Kerry says it’s a good idea, so let the next U.S. led war for oil in the Middle East begin.

With Obama and his teleprompter in charge, I’m positive we’ll get full Muslim support this time, and the outcome will be much better.
