Tax Day for Whom?
April 15th is glaring at us from just over the horizon. I can feel its glowing, hungry eyes boring holes in my bank account. It’s a dreaded day in America, but not all of us feel the sting of the Tax Whip.
Fact is, 47% of all household in our fair and free country will pay no Federal Income taxes what so ever for 2009. That’s right, a big fat zero. The top 10% of taxpayers will pay 73% of the burden, while 43% will pay the remaining 27% of the Federal Income Tax.
I don’t know about you, I fall into that 43%, but I’m more than willing to be in the top 10%. I’ll pay my share of taxes. That’s not the issue. I have a problem with many of those who don’t or won’t.
I understand that we have an obligation to aid those who truely need our help. I support giving them a hand. It’s the free-loaders that get my goat.
When those of you are preparing you signs for the April 15th Tea Parties, consider this one:
No Representation Without Taxation!
That should ruffle some feathers.

Funny that, I’ve had to pay taxes (no refunds) for 27 years. All while paying out 30 – 60% of my gross income in child support. Maybe NEXT year I won’t have to pay taxes because I made too little.
