Political Humor | Villainous Rove

The left is going nuts over the new SCOTUS nominee. Apparently they are all in a tizzy over the fact that the announcement was moved up to deflect attention away from “traitorgate” (The Rove/Plame non-issue). I’ve been perusing Lefty blogs and sites, and the funniest thing I have seen is, “(We) can walk and chew gum at the same time.” (Hat tip IMAO) This refers to Attacking the administration on “traitorgate” and attacking the New SCOTUS nominee at the same time.

It’s hilarious because there is all this infighting about which is more important, and about every third comment someone says, “We can walk and chew gum at the same time.” It would seem to me that the only reason to keep repeating this is that they are trying to convince themselves that it’s true. Frank J. responds by saying:

It’s been demonstrated that the lefties of Kos and DU can’t hold on to one coherent thought, so it’s doubtful that they can try and do two at the same time. They’ll probably end up walking into telephone poles while attempting this or falling down open manholes and dying, which, as we know, is the definition of comedy.

I agree Frank J., although you were a little off on your prediction of the candidate. The Lefties regularly make illogical leaps and bounds across chasms devoid of fact to put two things together that have nothing to do with each other. A few had the good sense to point out that, if appointed, Roberts will serve on the court for decades, while the Rove nonsense is a short term issue, so a SCOTUS nominee is just a shade more important. The response to this was usually, “We can walk and chew gum at the same time.”

Can we put the whole Rove thing to rest. No one, anywhere, at any time, did anything, at all, that was unseemly, illegal, unethical, or in any other way wrong. Would it be wrong if someone said, “Hey, Bob works for the FBI.”
“Really? I hope he doesn’t work undercover, and you just blew his cover, putting Bob and his sting operation at risk.”
“No. I said Bob works for the FBI. He’s not even an agent. He’s just an employee.”
My answer would be… NO! There’s nothing wrong with pointing out that someone is an employee of the government. Get over it. At least fabricate a new scandal. This one’s deader than roadkill.

You people have been absolutely 100% wrong about everything, all the time, for all of history. That’s your problem. You have a track record of saying, “Mr. X will put us back in the dark ages.” Yet here we are in the 21st Century. “The Earth will no longer exist in 10 years.” Yet here we are 40 years later, thriving. “Reagan will get us all killed.” O.K. So who’s the lone superpower now? How many nuclear missiles were fired in the apocalyptic war he was going to start? NONE! Get a clue! You Lefties are always irrefutably wrong, and history has proven it. That’s why you are losing power. After a while of shouting that the sky is falling, people start to realize that the sky is still there, and you are a mindless, worthless idiot.
