Political Humor | We Are Winning The War

Don’t let the Terror bombings in London fool you, or get you down. We are winning the War on Terror. Just because the MSM never reports anything good that happens, doesn’t mean there are no successes. Look hard enough and you will find that victories, and steps in the right direction are plentiful.

MajorDad1984 asked the question on the Homespun Blogger Symposium XXVIII:

This week saw terrorism raise it’s ugly head in London killing more than 50 people, wounding over 700.

Based on this recent attack…do you feel that we’re winning, losing, or holding our own in fighting the Global War on Terrorism?

I would respond by saying that just because the other side can manage to tally up a few relatively minor attacks (minor relative to war that is) doesn’t mean that the sky is falling, and the war is failing.

Imagine if our Founding Fathers had been so defeatist. We were losing the Revolutionary war, badly, for a very long time, and yet we won because we never gave up. This war is different because we are winning, profoundly, but Leftist, Anti-War, Anti-Bush, Anti-American (take your pick) factions continue to push forward the notion that we are losing, or that it’s not worth it to fight.

Don’t lose faith, don’t lose hope. As President Bush would say, strengthen your resolve. The only way for us to lose is to convince ourselves that we are losing, or that it is not worth it to fight. Neither are true. In the words of Winston Churchill, “We will never surrender.” Well, the French might, but we won’t.
