Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is dead. Yup. Beginning the decomposition process right now as we speak. The does not bode well for theose who want to yammer on endlessly about how we’re not winning the war. Certainly no journalists will go into a deep depression and commit suicide over this terrible news, but one can hope, can’t one?
I heard Chimpy McHitlerburton giving a speech about it as I was getting ready for work. Could this really be? Did I hear that right? Yes. Wizbang says so. Lord Spatula says so. Stop the ACLU, Captain’s Quarters, and Counterterrorism Blog Says so. It must be true.
Certainly no journalists will go into a - I already said that didn’t I. Well, one can hope.
Edit: My profuse apologies to Lord Spatula. I should have paid more attention to whom the author was when citing a group blog. I was in a hurry, and very excited about the good news. I have fixed the text.
Update: I just thought of something else I forgot. How long until the Moonbats decide this is just a diversion form Bush’s low poll numbers? Probably already happened, but I don’t have time to find the link on a 10 minute break. If you can point me in the right direction, please leave a link in the comments. I want to see that stupidity.
Update #2: Harry Reid can hardly bring himself to say that Zarqawi deserved it. Lemme offer a little assistance, Harry. It goes something like this:
Boo-ya! In your face you scum sucking, disgusting, repulsive, murderous, malevolent, parasitic plague on the face of humanity. You got what was comin’ to you. Rot in Hell, you sick, demented worhtless waste of oxygen. You were a worthless sack of skin while you lived, and now you’re dead, at least you will provide food to the superior life forms of maggots and worms.
My only regret is that you cannot die 1000 times more, because you’ve earned that too. I also regret the fact that I personally cannot desecrate your putrid corpse by defecating on it. I celebrate your death with every cell and every strand of DNA that comprise my existence.
Rejoice, free people of the world. Rejoice. This is a glorious and wonderful victory, and we should all get the rest of the day off to party in the streets, and wave the American flag and tip our hats to the Military that made this victory possible. This is a wonderful and joyous day for us. Glad you’re dead. Rot, Zarqawi, rot.
That’s about how it’s done, Senator Reid. Just like that. It’s not too difficult at all. I pounded that out in just the time my uncoordinated fingers could type it. It would have taken mere seconds to actually say it.

Another angle. This is a bad day for the newspaper biz. The dead tree people didn’t get the scoop. While it’s all over the internet, it has yet to appear in the dead tree “news.” I guess that means Zarqawi isn’t dead yet. Not until tomorrow when they can get it into their news cycle. Quite ironic, isn’t it that every time they get something wrong, they claim to be “Too far ahead of the news cycle.” I think this proves the lie of that claim. They’re way, way behind the news cycle today, and this is not just a story, This is a HUGE story.

Where’s Murtha today? If we had pulled out months ago like he suggested, that SOB would still be looking for ways to kill Americans.
Burn in Hell you prick.

So far I’ve heard bits and pieces of all the liberal angles on the news and talk radio. They go something like this…
Now he’s a martyr.
We’ve just created 2000 more terrorists.
Isn’t the timing suspicious given Bush’s low approval rating.
We still haven’t caught Osama. He’s the real target.
This doesn’t change the fact that Iraq is going to have a civil war.
Haditha will take away from this.
But what really makes me sick is this morning I heard a 5 minute piece on the Today show talking about Zarqawi’s hometown and his family and all these people who thought he was a hero. I mean, you’ve got to be kidding me! After Hitler died, did NBC run a story about his family grieving and how much all of Germany loved him? I doubt it.
